Hi. I lurk around these parts and admire the FOs but don't post much. I hope there is someone who might be able to answer my question. My dd fell in love with this yarn from knitpick and wants to knit a sweater. Does any one have experience with it? I am mainly wondering if it is soft or scratchy and if it is difficult to knit- it looks as if it may split alot and although she has knit a couple of sweaters and several other projects, we are looking for something to work a cable in and don't want the added hassle of splitting. Bless you for any info you can provide.

I really like it. It is a sturdy yarn, about middle of the road on softness, and i don't recall any splitting issues. It is a little pilly with wear but nothing that a little shaving can't take care of. I love the way it knits up

Thank you so much for posting! Your info was very helpful and we LOVED the photos! She is leaning towards the Fitzpatrick colorway- creamy white with flecks of blue/gray and brown.

I'm no help with the yarn itself, but I've been eyeing the "Kelley" colorway to make something for my Gram, since that's her last name.

Oh, milkydoula, your soakers - and your baby! - are adorable.

I used that same red to make a Christmas stocking last year for my MIL, and I was surprised at how much I ended up liking the yarn. It was softer and squishier than I expected, and it knit up great.
