My step-mom sent this, thought some of you might find it funny. It's a 'blonde' joke, so I hope the blondes have a sense of humor :LOL

KNITTING

A highway patrolman pulled alongside a speeding car on the freeway.
Glancing at the car, he was astounded to see that the blonde behind the wheel was knitting! Realizing that she was oblivious to his flashing lights and siren, the trooper cranked down his window, turned on his bullhorn and yelled,
"PULL OVER!"

"NO!" the blonde yelled back, "IT'S A SCARF!"

LOL! As a blonde who has been known to knit while driving, I don't take offense

:LOL

They used that same joke in the movie *Dumb & Dumber* as well, except when the policeman said "Pull over!" the guy said "No, it's a cardigan, but thanks for noticing".

I think I've seen too many movies in my time.
That's the second movie I've quoted today. :LOL

Oh my goodness I LOVE "Dumb and Dumber", it's like a cult following in my home, any Jim Carrey really. In fact, if we had a stressful day we watch some select scenes in "Bruce Almighty", man I have about wet my pants watching that one!!!!!!!!!!! :LOL

Devon, I don't know whether to say, "That's ok, you're from New Jersey," or, "You do that while surrounded by Jersey drivers???"

I usually have a knitting project along, but I've never tried to knit *while* driving. Once when I knew I'd be stuck in some awful traffic, I kept it on my lap and did a few stitches every time traffic came to a standstill. Usually I keep it around for when the girls fall asleep and I decide to just sit in a parking lot for a while and knit while they slumber...

I am ROTF!! Actually, I learned my lesson-- I was knitting in traffic, like you said, and got really into it, it was just stockinette so I continued while driving with my knees. I was so proud of myself until I realized I messed up a stitch at the beginning and had to pull it all out :
