I am going and trying to knit myself a purse that i plan in felting.
I am doing it on size 13 addi turbo circs with Patons classic wool.
I am also adding 2 cables (on on each side(inseam))
I dont have a pettern to go off of or any other knitted/felted bags.
Its starting to look so wonky but i really dont want to frog it.
Any ideas?

The cables will probably flatten out when you felt, and distort. Did you do a gauge and felt that to see how that yarn felts? Most yarns shrink a ton lengthwise and not so much widthwise, but you really need to test it out especially if you're flying blind without a pattern, LOL!

lol not on this particular one lol but i have knit a xl soaker and it turned into a small with the same yarn lol lol lol
from what i saw on size 6 circs it felted about 1/3, but even after second washing and drying i was able to pull it back into the correct porportions

I'm not sure if you'll even be able to see the cables when you are done felting. On couple things I've felted, I can't see any stitch definition when they are done. But I may be over-felting them. I'm a newbe at it. I have finished a little purse, and it shrank alot in height. Probable about half of the total knitting. I sort-of half used a pattern and half made it up.

I finshed it all the way last night and I need to say In My humble beginner opinion. it looks great.
the cables did not distort at all...you just want see them real well. but I was doing the cables as practice anyway since i had not attempted them yet. I was told they are easy and boy was she right!
the bag shrunk from 17.5 x 11 to 7x 10. So i figure if i just repeat each color 5 more times at 3.5 inches i will be right where i want to be. I was going for the same size as my beloved happy tushies wonder bag.
hmmmmm i need to prefect this and start a wool wetbag business. lol lol
