Hey all! Just wanted to tell (or remind

) everyone that the Knoxville chapter of API is having their monthly meeting on Monday, June 27th.

We are having a special guest speaker, Katie Allison-Granju!

There's no cover charge or anything, just bring a snack to share. Organic juice and cups are always provided.

We meet downtown at the Candy Factory, located between Ft. Kid and World's Fair Park. It's easiest to park by Ft. Kid and walk down the hill. Free parking that way, too.

7th floor, suite #2. I hope to see you there!

Oops!! The meeting starts at 10:30, usually lasts until 12 or 12:30. I guess I left out that vital piece of information.

Most definitely! I think the oldest child is 6? There are toys provided geared towards the younger ones, but you can always bring something specifically for you chil(dren)-books, toys, etc.

I hope you'll come, Tracy! It will be so good to see you.

Hey, I just realized I had some info wrong, I changed it in the original post also but we meet on the 7th floor, suite #2.

Also, the meeting is still starting at 10:30, but Katie Granju is set to speak at 11:30.

hi,
i'm new to this forum ... would like to attend the meeting monday with my 3 1/2 month old; do i need to join api first? any info would be appreciated. i have a friend coming in from out of town and as long as there isn't a time conflict, i hope to be able to come down.

Hi Rachel, and welcome!

You do not need to join API in order to come to the meeting. Should you be interested in joining, the leader can give you more information, I think you just have to fill out some informational stuff and there are dues, but they are not very much.

But again, you don't have to be a member of API, and there is no cost for attending the meeting.

If you can, bring a snack to share. If you can't don't worry about it. Also, Anna mentioned above that anyone who's interested can bring a bag lunch and drinks for themselves and we'll hang out at Ft. Kid across the street. I know your little one can't play, but we would love to meet and get to know you if you are able! I hope it works out so that you can come to the meeting!
