HI amoreena,
oht here so please exuse...thanks for the info about the book fair! i love that event and would have missed it this year.

i joined the socalap group a while ago. i don't get why there are hardly any ap moms in my area. it's really weird! i tried to start a westside playgroup but there's no one in our age group...

any way - the group is still a great resource!
thanks

Hi Kristen! Did you join SoCalAP or SoCalAPFamilies? Two different groups
...but I do think you mean the latter, if you're the Kristen I think you are. Time, time, time
... the group is growing ... have faith

Glad the book fair info is useful!!!

Hi Amoreena,
yes, it is the SoCalLAPFamilies - thanks. I have managed to put together a group and we're meeting this Friday
I'm looking forward to it!

Some of the people are from your group and some are from another "mainstream" group that I belong to. They are AP mamas - but don't belong to an Ap group. So, I started a "westdside" AP yahoo group so that we can all correspond re playdates etc... it's called WestLAAp her's the link if you're interested. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WestLAAP/

There aren't any posts yet cuz I just started it and people are just starting to join. I'll tell them about your group too so we can all be one big happy family

Maybe we can have ahuge picnic/gathering somewhere this summer - like Leo Carillo. Maybe even a campout??? That would be fun - huh?

*Totally*!
...and yes, we can swap referrals to the groups! Great to know one has started up in WLA. Feel free to announce it in SCAPF! If you wish.

The way I cram all those groups in the sig is using the right font and a tiny point size combo!

So we're moving to LA-all 5 of us-wow! It's such a big change. Hopefully, we'll move over the summer. I'm trying to get an idea of schools. MY almost 5 year old is in an open door type preschool now and I'd like to find something alternative for kindergarten and upwards. I might have the twins go to a two day playschool or something as well. I'm looking at living in the Studio City area so if anyone has any suggestions as to how I can even begin the school search that would be fabulous. Thanks.
Hello!

We will be relocating to SoCAL this summer and I hope to get involved in the AP groups in the area...

I'll keep checking this board!!

Is there anyone in the Newport, Tustin ranch, Irvine area?

We have a 9moDD and will TTC #2 soon....
Hi everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to this group and am still trying to figure out how everything works. I have an 8 month old dd and live in Rancho Palos Verdes. Just wanted to say hi to everyone.
Hi Manatee!

I'm new to this thread too. Dh and I have been married since July of 05 and we'll be moving to Riverside, CA in a couple weeks. We're ttc #1 with no luck, but we're trying to keep our spirits up. Have a great weekend, mamas!

Kristi
Hi, I've poked my head in here once or twice but am awful about keeping up. I'm in West LA so as soon as I post this I'm off to join the WLA AP group on yahoo. I'm in the SoCalAPFamilies group but I was lurking terribly and lately haven't been reading at all.

Anyway, I'm a Homeschooling mom to William who is 6 and Breastfeeding mom to James who will be 3 in June. I'm really trying to reach out and meet up with other AP moms in my area and set up playdates and what not.
Welcome Arianamama! Are you in any homeschool groups?? There's some great ap families in the Culver/Westchester homeschool group, and the Santa Monica group. You can find their parkdays and lots of other info on HomeschoolLA.org
