L-Lysine: safe during pregnancy?

I searched, read through some older posts and this has been asked before, but it tends to be the last question asked on a thread and no one answers, LOL!

I'm getting a cold sore (I can feel the 'tingle') ... Can I take L-Lysine while I'm pregnant (I'm almost 11 weeks)?
