I don't know the answer off the top of my head but have you checked the LLL web page for anything? I'm sure they have the founding date listed in their About or History type section

La Leche League - is this their fiftieth year?
Is this the Golden Anniversary of the founding of La Leche League?
I have been a member since their Silver Anniversary, but I have not heard anything lately about this year which must be their Fiftieth.
Or am I missing something?

Next Year is their Golden anniversary...
Mary White, the wife of Dr. Gregory White, was one of the founders of LLLI.
