I'm impressed! Although, kind of sad that this was already necessary back then. I didn't realize bottlefeeding was that common that early on.

Did they have refrigerators in 1914? Maybe milk used to prepare formula was more likely to spoil in the summer leading to more illness in formula-fed babies during the warm months.
