The midwives at Birth Care are amazing! I had my last hb with Maribeth. I have doula-ed also with Valerie for a few births and Angela for a few births. LOVE them all, though I am partial to MB. There have been lots of previous posts on how great Birth Care is, so I won't go into it at length. Just know that I think that you are with one of the best practices and some of the best mws in the county!

Mary McLane is in Lancaster County. She is CNM and was wonderful! I am pretty sure she has a website. She also takes Medicaid. She drove all the way to Cumberland County to attend our homebirth.

We used mary too. She is awesome. And very reasonable - especially before she started taking insurance. We loved her and her assistant, Paula. Very capable and has caught hundreds of babies. I have her contact info if you are interested.

She lives in Lancaster, but mostly serves York County since no one else will do it. The birthing center does some, but have a small radius. She will travel wherever though!

Mary and Paula were amazing! Mary was actually my fourth or fifth choice (short version is that *something* seemed to come up with the other midwives I'd contacted and none of them worked out) and I didn't meet up with her until I was more than 5 months along, but once I met her I knew she was the one meant to welcome our baby into the world. And she even washed the towels and sheets before she left; what's not to love?
