<p>My sister has a 2001 honda oddysey.  SHe doesn't think the captains chairs in the middle row have latch.  Is there a place to check on line to see if it does?</p>

<p>There's no place to check online, but a 2001 Odyssey has LATCH in second row outboard seats (captain's chairs).  A 2000 does not.</p>

<p>okay - I guess what she means is the rear anchor. can you install a forward facing convertable car seat with the latch (so it's just hooked on the bottom) but with no rear tether over the back of the seat?</p>

<p>If there are lower anchors, there is a top tether.  It is always safest to use the top tether, and most carseats do not allow use of the lower anchors without also using the top tether.  In a 2001 Odyssey, the top tether anchors are on the floor underneath the seats.</p>
