Ds is 10 months and for 8 months of his life he had resistant thrush. It's finally gone but I'm still wondering if it's possibly just hidden. Ds is a very serious baby and doesn't laugh often. Lately he's been laughing at really odd times and times where there is nothing to laugh at. It seems odd and I wonder if this is from the yeast. I've heard of yeast issues causing this before. What can I do to rid the yeast from his system other than acidophilus?
My twins are now about 9 months old, and they laugh at everything and nothing. I have no worries about their development, but they just think nearly everything is funny, especially my daughter. I think she likes to laugh and laughing gets her laughing even more. At times, neither my husband nor I can figure out what the heck she finds so funny, but here are some things we know she finds hilarious:
- someone sitting on the couch and raising one leg straight
- the wind flapping the curtains
- anything dropping from any surface
- someone jumping up from a seated position in a chair
- her brother doing just about anything, including kicking his feet while laying on the floor, attempting to creep, hiccupping, and raising his hands above his head
- someone standing in front of her, with her/his hands on hips, staring straight down at her
- the beeping noise Tivo makes at times
Maybe she's a weirdo, but I think she just loves to laugh. And I love to hear it.
I don't know what's going on with your son, although I know you've been involved in a lot of scary medical stuff. I can understand being concerned, but it might not be an indication of anything more than a silly sense of humor. I'm not trying to minimize your situation; I'm just trying to provide a positive, possibly similar situation.
Hopefully, he's fine along with you and your other two.

The thing is, he rarely laughs. It takes a TON to even get him to crack half a smile. This is something new he's started doing...
