I've been using baking soda and borax for about 5-6 loads in the dishwasher now and this last time there was a layer of residue on the dishes and the inside of the dishwasher also a lot of the dishes were just not clean. Any thoughts? TIA!

I have no idea. What if you put in a little bit of vinegar.

Thanks! I had already tried the vinegar in the rinse thing. I think I'll have to get some regular dishwasher detergent and do half and half.

How do you add vinegar to the rinse? Do you stop the washer and add it? Mine doesn't tell me when it's on rinse. Could you just put it in the little dispenser where they want you to put jet dry?
