Hey everyone!

I'm excited to be in our new home and start a new garden next year!! I want to get as much compost on the area as I can. I have a composter full, ready to spread this fall.

I also will have free access to alpaca poopy! yeah!

I was wondering how to make my fall leaves into leaf mold as I've heard that that's great on gardens as compost...we have some pumpkin bags to bag up leaves...can we just leave the leaves in those bags until next spring and they'll mold? Or...what? What should I do?

Hi Happy Becky! Congratulations on your new home

I think that might work. I seem to remember reading about someone who did that... In the instance I can recall, the person set the big bags of leaves on the spot where they wanted the garden. The bags smothered the grass, and in the spring the person put the bagged leaves in the compost.
