I bought some BG 3.0 and FB in December and have been using them since then with no problems at all. I was actually surprised how little they leaked, only a handful of times overnight

A couple of weeks ago they started leaking. It wasn;' a matter of heavy wetting. They were just repelling everything because his clothes were soaked and the insert was dry. So I stripped them really well in the dishwasher thinking that would fix it but they're still leaking.

The inserts aren't soaked but they're wet. He's soaking through them in less than two hours whereas before he could wear them all night and only leak occasionally. He's not drinking anymore or eating anything differently. And the dipes aren't stinky at all.

If anyone has any ideas I would really apprecite it. TIA!

ETA: Did I ruin the diapers in the dishwasher? Maybe the water was too hot for the elastic in them or something?

I don't think the dishwasher was the problem - I have a friend who uses that method without any trouble, plus you were having the leaking before the dishwasher, so you can't blame it on that.

Will you share with us what your normal laundering routine is? Do you use any creams? What about wipes solution? Maybe we can help you brainstorm more with a little more info.

Thanks so much for the reply. I am still having leaking problems and starting to think that I may have ruined them with diaper cream
I thought it was safe to use this stuff with cloth diapers but now I hear no kin dof cream is ok? This is homemade cream with castor oil, something (can't make it out on the label) infused canols oil, beswax, and vitamin e.

DS leaked through his diaper within about ten minutes of putting it on tonight and when I took it off, the insert was wet but not soaked but the part that goes against his skin was really wet. I thought that was weird because I was always amazed at how dry that part stayed even when the insert was soaked.

As for my normal routine, I do a cold wash, a hot wash with 1/4 to 1/2 the recommemded amount of Sunlight Sensitive Skin and then a rinse. I know that isn't the best soap I could use but it has been working really well until now. This is the first time i've stripped these diapers since i've had them. Maybe that's part of the problem?
