I'm new to all of this, and you all seem so knowledgable...I'm wondering how you learned to chart and determine when you ovulate.
: Any books/resources you would reccommend?

btw, we've been ttc #1 for about 5 mo. now, and i'm starting to feel like i need to start doing things to increase our chances. Any thoughts or advice on this would be so helpful!!!!

Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler.

Easily the best book I have ever read on this subject.

It isn't hard at all!!!

i love charting. i wish i had started sooner.

have fun!
Hi ---
I learned to chart by taking classes on Natural Family Planning. I am not Catholic, but I really enjoyed the thorough instruction that the local NFP teachers gave us. What I love best is that my DH is totally involved in the charting --- and we both know what's going on in my body. We have been using NFP to postpone pregnancy for about 3 years. We are thinking on TTC early next year, and it is so cool to know exactly which days we might conceive a littel one : )

Check out www.ccli.org to find classes near you.

Good luck,
Palmetto

p.s. -- I also use the TCOYF Ovusoft to store my charts electronically, but it has mistakenly analyzed my signs a number of times. HTH!
Forgot to add one thing : )

For good information on how your nutrition affects your fertility, check out Marilyn Shannon's book. I found a copy at Barnes and Noble.

I have always been pretty healthy, but this small book provided me with tons of useful info.
