lets all list our leftovers and the food that has been in our cupboards for the last 20 years, and see what dishes we can come up with to use them up. . . . does anyone else think this sounds like fun??? ill start. . . . .

canned diced tomatoes ( i HATE chunky cooked tomatoes. even in tomato sauce or salsa. i use chunk-less tomato sauce and i dip my chips in the salsa juice and never eat the chunks :puke )

garbanzo beans (canned and dry)

red lentils

course salt

powdered sugar (4 bags of it!!)

corn meal

almonds

cashews

rice pasta

1/2 stick of crisco :)Puke )

not much to work with, i guess.

all together = pasta y fagioli!

Saute some onions and garlic in olive oil. Add chick stock or water and some sort of bouillon (veg or chick). Add the rest and let cook. Finish with a bag of spinach and stir until wilted. Ladle into bowl and add a little parm. and fresh cracked pepper. Yum!
