I might have felt woozy, but it wasn't any much different than a diet, know what I mean?
As far as I know, the cleanse can actually help with sugar issues if you go all the way through it...
Anyway, any distractions I had weren't from wooziness or whatnot, but from fantasizing about HOW BIG the sundae I was going to eat would be.
And wondering just *how bad* it would be to jump over a cubicle or across the classroom and steal a co-worker's or fellow student's food.
Until the 5th day. After that I was fine.
Oh, depending on how you deal with hunger, you might think about starting on a Thursday. That would have worked for me. So you start on Thurs, it's still OK on Fri, but then on Saturday as the HUNGER hits and everything smells good to you, you're at home with a support group, rather than passing by everyone's Easter basket at work.
: Then the Monday would be the 5th day and you can make it through that, and then by the next weekend you'd be done (assuming the minimum 10 days) and you could start easing back into food.
I do want to urge you to truly EASE back into food. I've had a couple really exellent fasts ruined by, oh, trips to the food co-op (when I was living near Asheville, NC) and having "just a taste" of, um, everything in the store. By the time we would get home I'd be bloated and the detox would feel ruined, and I'd throw myself into a pizza. The times I've eased back into food (I've never done it perfectly, though) have been much better, and the good feelings from the fast lasted a lot longer for me.
I'm not an expert, but I've completed it 4 or 5 times and tried it several times, and have had a TON of friends complete it or not complete it around me, so I've really seen a lot of what works and what doesn't work.
