I'm stumped... I don't think it is an allergic rash...at least it doesn't look like one that my oldest has had. I'm positive it's not chicken pox. Maybe rubella? Maybe another virus caused this? It looks like red spots scattered all over her trunk, arms, and face. It started yesterday afternoon and I'm not sure what part of her body it started... before the rash occured she was sick for 2-3 days w/ a 102 fever and runny nose. She is fine now, just a little cranky. Oh, and she is 13 months old. I hope I linked the pictures correctly.

http://s31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ary2009185.jpg

http://s31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ary2009187.jpg

http://s31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ary2009183.jpg

Thanks! That is what I'm leaning towards... should I take her to the DR? Not for treatment, but just to have it in her medical record? I'm also wondering if my oldest may catch it... she's had a low grade fever for a few days and no other symptoms... she is also partially vaxed. She received the 1st mmr... any thoughts?

I didn't take my daughter to the dr. for it.So many kids get it and never have it diagnosed that I didn't see any reason to take her.

I was going to ask if she recently had the mmr. It's really common for babies to get it at that point.

I wouldn't worry too much even if your oldest gets it.All of my reading(which was a bit obsessive)said it's really no big deal and lots of kids get it and the parents don't even realize that's what it is.

my little guy had the same symptoms. runny nose, high fever, then the rash today. seeing your photos helped me diagnose that he definitely has rubella! how many days did the rash stick around, and did the other symptoms disappear with the rash?
