Let's see those Apron Tops!

I am starting my second one-- first was just plain with a matching diaper cover. I want to make one to match the Beret and I am adding a ruffle at the bottom.

What has everyone done with theirs? Theresa said there were some "seriously awesome" ones out there.... let's see 'em!

I am having way too much fun, now tht i finally have a girl.
I made dd...
This
this
this
and this (front & back)
and about 10 different soaker styles to match
Wow, how pretty!! I definitely need to do a two color scheme. TFS!
It's not technically an apron top, it's a halter dress, but I figured I'd share it, anyhow. I think I'll be adding another set of ties at the waist. The back's a little bare for my taste!

I used a double strand of Bernat Cottontots that I had hanging around. It came out very thick and non-stretchy, but the double strand makes for a cool mix of colors. The next time, I'll also decrease in the waist a bit more. My dd must be skinnier than I thought!

Anyone know how difficult it would be to add a ruffle at the bottom? I'm not really happy with the rolled edge alone.

did you like working with it? Does it wash well?
everytime i am at the store i give it a good long stare but i never buy it.
The double strand made my hands ache occasionally, and it made a lot of fuzz. I was knitting in my freshly cleaned car and ended up having to wipe the whole car again! I don't know about the washing part...I just finished it two days ago, and dd hasn't worn it yet.
Ruffles are super easy!! If you go from the bottom up, just cast on 2x as many as you need, knit the length of the ruffle, then k2tog across. If you don't want it as "ruffly" just cast on less than 2x and decrease down to the number you should have cast on.

From the top down you'd just increase instead.

I usually do ruffles in garter, but I think you can do them in st st too, just not sure if they would still roll or not.
