I belly dance, and make all my own costumes. The skirts and veils are all of sensual fabrics (metallic jersey knits and chiffons) and the bras and hip wraps are heavily beaded and sequined. So, I would say they are the most exotic items I've sewed.

Right now, I am working on three new skirts (sapphire, gold, emerald), with color-coordinated bras.

I'm in the SCA, so I sew all of my own garb, as well as garb for all of the men in my life. There is nothing like sitting there with my best friend, mending his yurt and discussing wether his new garb should have blackwork.
Let's see. Um, an under-dress to a chainmaille outfit for a stripper was probably the absolute oddest thing I have ever sewn. It was actually quite nice. I got to play with sueded satin, and that's always a good thing, IMHO.

LOL...well, I guess I'm not as exciting of seamstress as some! You both have wonderful things you have sewn! Well, I'd say the one thing I have sew that was...well, maybe not exciting, but was...odd..LOL

I made a pair of slippers for my hubby. He loves the outdoors and hunting...and I made the inside with a super soft rayon, stuffed them lightly, and the outside was made of bearskin, with the claws on! It was pricey...and much more difficult to make than I expected, but they look...lol, well....at least he likes them!

LOL...

I think mine is probably the crotchless pants I'm making for my midwife right now. And cloth diapers, but that's not weird here, just at the fabric store. I can't tell you how funny the looks are when they ask what I'm making and I say diapers :LOL. I didn't tell them about the crotchless pants .

I just whipped up a pair of "cast pants" for my little guy. He rolled off the bed and broke his femur. He's all healed up now. Anyway, when the weather turned and he was still in his cast, I sewed a pair of one-legged pants that velcroed around the other side, making shorts over his casted leg. I used a cute blue striped fleece and the velcro-on-the-hip idea made it nice and easy to get them on and off to change his diaper. Not exotic, by any stretch, but we did get a lot of compliments on them.
