I just found out I am pregnant a week ago. I am probably about 5 weeks along with my 3rd baby, 4th pregnancy. I know that breast tenderness is a first indicator of pregnancy. I just started to have a little twinge when my 16 month old latches on, but nothing else. I'm concerned because with my 2nd pg, i had a ton of breast tenderness and then it went away at 9 weeks and i miscarried at 10 weeks. i then go pg a few months later and had a healthy baby at 40 1/2 weeks.
so i would like to ask everyone their experiences with breast tenderness. can you just have a little and still be pregnant? i don't remember if it gradually gets worse. i am quite tired and have some nausea as well.
just interested in hearing your experiences (the good ones, please).
Thanks!

I don't and have never had breast tenderness in the breast tissue itself, but nipple soreness is another story. This time it didn't start until 6-7 weeks. And now at almost 17 weeks it is HORRIBLE.
I have had one M/C and with that one my nipple soreness did disappear at 8 weeks- it was the only sign that anything was wrong.
I think it is very normal not to feel anything at 5 weeks. And when I was pregnant with my son I never had any breast or nipple pain at all throughout the whole pregnancy.

thank you so much for letting me know that. i think after having a MC can make one kinda paranoid. i needed a story like that. searching online just says breast tenderness starts 2 weeks after conception, so i started to freak out.
thanks again! (i guess my screenname - paranoiprego - is still applicable 3 pregnancies later)

I am 9 wks right now and my nipples didn't get sore until about 7 weeks. Talk about OW! DS (3.5) is still nursing and I'm trying to wind it down. I can't take it anymore. I don't remember very much breast tenderness with my first, but then I had flat nipples and so not much friction kwim.

I am breastfeeding a two-year-old and have had some breast tenderness off and on. At 14 weeks it isn't too bad right now. I think I've actually had a lot less than my first pregnancy...maybe breastfeeding has something to do with it.
