This is baby number two for me. I had BH contrax with number one, but nothing this noticeable. How often are you noticing Braxton Hicks? I'm having a few an hour (not enough to warrant concern, but enough to make me wonder if I might go early.)

Noticing them? As in they get to the 'pay attention to me' stage or how often am I having them? Because I'm having them A LOT, like I couldn't count if I wanted to. But the ones that cause me to stop? Oh, probably a couple hours a day's worth.

I probably have 20 or more a day...mostly at work or right after. Some take my breath away, some feel good though!

Yeah, I have a lot, depending on what I'm doing. (Those 2-3 mile walk days, I have a lot!) Sometimes they are just tight-feeling, and a little annoying because then I feel like I have to pee, and sometimes they feel like menstrual cramps, and I actually really like those! They feel good to me.

I've been having the ones where you have to pee really bad, and then after going pee they go away. I've also been having menstrual type cramps, and was wondering if this is normal. Yesterday was the first day I've been having them, and I guess I'm not worried b/c there's no bleeding to go with it, but they stick around for a while sometimes - without going away, sometimes more than 20 minutes. I really hope I don't go too early - 39 weeks is the earliest I want this baby to show up!

i have a lot of them too. i actually talked to my midwife about them, because they sometimes radiate into my thighs and feel like real contractions. she told me that second time mamas usually have more of them, and they are stronger. it was comforting to me, though, some nights i write down the times. you know, just in case.

I didn't have any with my first two. But for the last two weeks, I get them almost every night. They almost always start around 5:30pm too. I wonder if that is what time I will actually go into labor. Sometimes they are pretty regular for hours. Sometimes I only notice them off and on for a couple hours. I spend almost every night in the bathtub. Which makes me glad that I got my birth pool. I am definitely going to want my water birth. I feel them at the top of my uterus a lot. It is a very confusing sensation that sometimes makes me catch my breath.

OK...feeling better! I was just so worried I'd be going in to labor early with all this tightening. They aren't painful, but just like someone else mentioned, they are so much worse when I have to pee, which seems like every time I stand up, the baby bounces on my bladder and I have to pee. So, basically, any time I stand up from sitting I have one. Walking -- yup, lots then, too.

I have a lot of them... they started sometime in October... they are definitely different now... way more crampy and noticeable, I'm learning their patterns actually and can tell the whole ride up to peaking and back down, it can be fascinating at times... except they come a lot in the middle of the night when I'd rather be sleeping as my alarm is set to go off only a couple hours later.

I've been having a lot over all, but some days almost none and some days tons. They seem to increase when I'm in the car, maybe due to curves in the road (lots where I live) or the motion of the car itself.

I don't mind them at all, and in fact it seems I can feel the baby better during one. I can touch my abdomen and feel a definite tushie or foot.

Duh! I've been taking Red Raspberry Leaf tablets at night. I think that's what caused so many for me. I realized that when i went to take my vitamins and skipped the RRL last night. I'll pick it back up at 36-37 weeks, I think.
