I have 4 kids. Three girls, they're almost 10, almost 8 and 5. My son is 5 months old. He wakes up about twice a night. He sleeps with us tho and I'm a super light sleeper so when he moans or moves much, I'm awake checking on him. I'd do this even if he was in his own bed.

I'm a stay at home mom. My youngest daughter is in kindergarten. I do daycare with my special needs foster brother during the day. I clean the house, make meals, run errands, play with my kids.

Baseball season has landed and we're in it. All three of our girls are playing this year and my oldest daughters coach is quite insane... er... I mean, enthusiastic. She plays about 4 times a week. Then my other two play as well.

My hubby is in the crazy busy part of his industry. He works like 16 hour days. He leaves before anyone is up and doesn't get home until the kids are all asleep.

I'm just tired. Like, nearly all the time. Is this normal? It sucks. How do you guys do it? Is there something I should be doing? I look out my window and stare longingly at my gardens. I can't even imagine having the energy to garden this year, and I want to so badly.
Plus I'm trying to lose the baby weight! Crunches seem like they were created for torturous reasons. I need energy to work out.

Sage,
I'm right there with ya (well, probably my workload is lighter!) But still, I'm exhausted and feel like I'm not making any headway.

I'm trying to figure out how to get some help---either household/cleaning, or a Mother's Helper, maybe both. I don't have any extended family close by, and my childless friends are all super-busy with their own lives. I would hire a teenager, but they're still in school. I considered a nanny agency, and that may yet be the best option, but it's not cheap.

Sigh. Let me know if you find a better idea! I'm all ears! LOL

Good luck!

Thanks Barbie!

I've been wondering why I'm so exhausted this time around and have discovered it. He is my fourth babe, but the FIRST ONE who hasn't slept through the night from birth. I have no experience with a babe who wakes up twice a night!

I was spoiled.
