We really really really want to get a line-dryer set-up to hang laundry outside. We are worried about the wind, it seriously blows here; almost constantly and enough to make you question your sanity some days.

words of advice? of course we'd have to anchor it in concrete like everything else in our world (bbq included - yes we've had one blow away). Types we should consider? industrial strength close pins in hopes of not finding our clothes all over the yard? help!

i have a mini rack dryer for inside but it's not cutting it for anything other than socks and toddler clothing

My first thought was wow your clothes will dry super fast! We are very windy here at times too and have the heaviest duty line I could buy. One end is attached to the house and the other is attached to a tree
(The old homeowners did it not us.)

You could cement a large pole into the ground for the fartest end, but make sure it is buried under the frost line which here is 4 feet deep. If you don't go under the frost line the pole will heave with the changing seasons and it will not be safe to hang on in a strong wind or a gentle breeze for that matter.

I've never been able to find really strong clothes pins though. I just make sure mine are on as tight as possible. Good luck!
