Some one on a non parenting type board I read is due to give birth soon. She was talking about her upcomming birth and said she asked her OB about something she saw on Natl Geo channel about squatting to give birth. He told her to "stop watching shows like that and forget about it since giving birth isnt football" <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/irked.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="irked">: <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/banghead.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="banghead"><br><br>
Anyone know any good links that discuss natural positions for birthing that i can show her?

It might also be worth mentioning that it is *okay* to fire an OB you aren't comfortable with. Lots of women don't realize that they can switch practictioners even "late in the game".

I second with firing the OB and find someone who might actually care what will make the birthing mama more comfortable. ANIKO
