Does anyone here take liquid calcium? I have heard people say it helps in labor ... seeing at this will be my 6th labor/birth ... I'm not sure I'm all that worried about taking calcium to ease the pain but hey, if it works then I just may ...

I'm wondering if liquid calcium would be better than raw organic milk ...

I've only tried liquid calcium once and it was cherry flavored and NASTY. I'm wondering if it's even worth trying to choke down some other flavor or are they all gross? LOL! I'm such a baby about nasty tasting or odd textured stuff ...

I took some orange flavored one last time and it really helped me sleep better. I didn't use it during labor though because it was so fast and I didn't think about it. It does have a chalky taste, but I would just take it anyway. And I preferred the liquid over the pill.

I have to take liquid calcium. I think the brand I take is called Life Force. It is AWFUL BEYOND AWFUL but I need it and I know it works. I've never heard that it's supposed to help in labor, that's interesting.

I found one that isn't totally nasty ... it's blueberry ... got it from the health food store ...

I'm not even sure I really need it ... I drink 20 - 40 oz of raw milk every day but maybe when early labor kicks in I may not be able to drink lots of milk so this will help. Hmmm...

Re: the pain ... supposedly it relaxes the muscles which can help with labor pains ... I am not fooling myself into thinking it's going to be a pain free labor with calcium or anything but hey, maybe a little less pain/discomfort ... LOL!
