does anyone know where I can find a list like this?

I highly suspect my 3yoDS has a latex allergy, though he's never been tested as of yet (at around 8mo old he had a severe reaction to some socks with elastic) also has had many other reactions to things I didn't know even had latex in them to bother him! (like the bumkins training pants, sippy cup spout, balloons! : )

the socks were the worst though so far.. (both his grandmother's are allergic to latex btw)

I just want to be on the look out now though!

I don't have a list, but we suspect Mane has a latex allergy. Bandaids were the culprit in our house. You have to read the box & find latex-free bandaids.

Also: rubber binders, rubber gloves, underwear elastic, food preparation gloves, hair binders...

And there are a variety of foods that are related closely enough to latex that people sometimes react to these foods: avocado, melons, bananas, tomato, potato, kiwi...

I hope that helps some. We are going down the path of testing in the next few weeks.

Thats the Spina Bifida Association website. Something like 70% of people with spina bifida have latex allergies so they have a good list which you can get on their home page.

This is true. My daughter has a form of Spina Bifida. She is latex precaution. She also reacts to adhesives. We had a terrible time in the hospital after her surgerys. Every bandage with adhesive they used it look like they took a layer of skin off.

thanks for all the info.

the weirdest thing is he has NOT reacted to bandaids the couple of times he's worn one, but everything else! (elastics mainly) weird!
