I went to the hospital yesterday because I hadn't felt baby move since the night before. They monitored the baby and everything is okay and baby's moving but I can't feel it. So they used an ultrasound to detect movement and breathing. My midwife said that there wasn't alot of fluid in there and they are doing another ultrasound. I am due next wed. I am so ready to hold my child. My mother has to have a heart Cath done on monday and I am so afraid I'll go into labor when she can't be here. I hope baby decides to come soon. This is my first. I think I may have a slow leak. They're gonna check tomorrow. What do you guys think?

Even if it is a slow leak, fluid replenishes itself all the time <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> i hope your babe holds out so your mom will be there to help!!

thank you very much. I actually went to the hospital tonight because my panties were soaked. False alarm, never did say what it was though. I have my appt with my midwife tomorrow. Babe looked good tonight. Dialated only a fingertip but thats better than none at all. Thanks ladies

Some dilation is good... it means that your body is preparing to go into labour (according to my midwife just today). I hope your baby allows your mom to be present. I think asking it would help. Best wishes. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

I've heard that it's normal to not have as much fluid towards the end????? Don't know if it's true or not, but I do remember hearing that. Hope your babe comes soon and mom is able to be there with you.... Good luck and lots of easy labor and delivery vibes to you!!!!
