What do you bake your bread in? Right now I am using a couple older glass loaf pans (they were dh's moms). What I really want is cast iron, but it appears nobody makes them anymore. Can't pay the prices I've seen on ebay.

Have you tried stoneware? (For example, Pampered Chef has a line of stonewear they are famous for. You can find it other places, however.) It is similar in properties to cast iron, and I love it for baking!

Le Crueset makes an enamel loaf pan. I'm not vouching for the merchant... that's just the first site that came up.
