We have been in the same boat,twice. After my first two were born we stopped because they were both born w/ birth defects. Logically it made no sense to have more but our hearts had always wanted four. That was the plan from the beginning. After genetic testing and all was good we finally got to it. One more boy and one more girl. Plan fulfilled. But I yearned for more but left it to my husband since he is the provider. He decided that that at the end of his life when he looked back would he regret having a a fifth child,never! He asked himself if he looked back and didn't have the child of my heart would he regret not having met him. He said yes. We had number five right before Christmas. A wondeful gift!
