If the logo relates to the name in some way, a name search would possibly bring up potential conflicts. But look at your logo design elements and try doing searches on those words, as well, just to see if anything comes up similar. It probably won't.<br><br>
For who owns it--you do. I had mine designed by a graphic design firm based on images I sketched and I own it because they were doing work-for-hire. If you design your own, you own it as well and all you have to do to establish that is start using it. Once you do that, you have a date recorded of when you started using it as a representation of your company. Nothing to register, etc.
