If you use wool longies at night what do you put on as a shirt? I onsie would have to go over the pants right? Would wool longies be too warm under a cotton sleeper for a newborn?

I've knit a few longies for this baby and just need to figure out what to use as a top for night time.

For a newborn I just put a long sleeve tshirt on them, or a trimmed onsie (snapping part cut off). I did put longies under cotton gowns a few times, too.

I wouldn't snap a onesie around them, especially for nighttime. Seems like a good invitation for compression wicking.

Thank you!

I prefer gowns as well I hadn't thought about putting those over the longies.
