So I'm looking for an Ergo, and as Mom has offered to purchase a NEW one for me (!!!!!!) I'd like to find the best deal possible. I do have a local online source for one, and while I'd prefer to use that, I do want to find Mom the best deal on it if I can. Any suggestions where I might find one "on sale"?

Hehe. I posted the same question last week. It seems that the manufacturer enforces that all Ergos be sold at 92.00. Nothing more. Nothing less. The only thing you'll want to take into consideration is shipping. If your local place has free shipping, I'd say go for it!

FWIW, I ended up buying one and got it last Tuesday and I ADORE it!!!! I absolutely love it. I think I should get paid from Ergo for converting other mothers to Ergo users b/c I've been pretty vocal about my newfound love for the carrier.

Because the price is so fixed, as pp said, the only thing you can do is look for cheap or free shipping. For us, taxes also figured into the mix. By ordering a carrier from a company outside of Ontario (I live in Canada), I didn't get charged provincial sales tax!

My Ergo arrived today, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I have a 20 pound 4.5 month old, and he had outgrown his sling and Moby. And I really like our mei tai, but found dealing with the straps difficult in public. The Ergo is quick, and I find that my babe likes having his arms a little freer than in the mei tai. I hope you'll love it too.

Ahh, that explains it. Well then, I'll order from my local source, even though it's an online store I can pick it up locally. I'm quite excited!!

You know, I Froogled it, and I came up with an 84 dollar price a couple plaeces. Have a look, anyway. Froogle is a great engine.

check out myfavoritebabycarrier.com. That's where I got mine. Unless something has changed in the past 12 months, they have a special deal for returned (not used, just returned) Ergos for about $20 less than usual retail. These are ones that people sent back immediately because they got two, they wanted a different color, etc., and they are just like new.

Me too. Think I paid $78 and they had just what I wanted in stock. They go fast so you have to check the site often to see what they have. Try TP and babywearer.com for used one too.

You might want to try http://www.attachedtobaby.com

She sells returned products at a discount and may have an ergo in there.

I got mine for $75 with tax at a local store... no online sales or I would help you out.

You might try Ebay, Craiglist, thebabywearer.com for a used one.
