We really need someone who takes HMO insurance....Dr Jay does not, and Fleiss only BC PPO...plus we have a 3 y.o....

Gibonsmom -- we use and love Stacy Waneka in Palisades...she's a family pract and very open to vaxing issues and EB, homebirths, etc. But she's not accepting new HMO patients (or, if you're a current patient, can't keep you if you have to switch, which is what happened to us).
Dr. Paul Fleiss is AMAZING. we loved him (when we lived in L.A.) Now we are peditrician-less in Phoenix and happy about that. If you can get into Fleiss, I woud. It was more like he was a wise, accepting grandpa then a doc. He saw my daughter from her first day until she was 7 months. He only accepts Blue Sheild, though or it;s $85 a visit. yikes! Good Luck! 3
For all of you who've used Jay Gordon. What is the office situation like? Is it hard to make an appointment? What about emergency appointments? Is he easy to get on the phone? How long do you wait in the office? Have you seen the others in his office? What are your thoughts on them? I'm wondering if it's worth the hike for us. Thanks!
Dr. Lauren feder is great. She is a Homeopath Dr and she has a Pediatrician who's in her office.. they work together a lot. They don't push Vax at all.. or they'll give a Homoepathic one if you must have them. She also does Vax seminars at Goldeb Bridge Yoga quite often...
We use her and love her..
