Okay - so I have to use a nipple shield right now, and then also for a pacifer. Does anyone have a product that they use that can safely and effectively clean both of those things that can fit in a diaper bag? Can you use a baby wipe for that? I wasn't sure what I could use to clean something like the nipple shield, or for that matter the pacifier. Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!

When I was doing first aid training we had alcohol wipes to clean off the ressusitation dummies between people, maybe a medical supply place would have something like that. It seems like a lot of chemicals though. I don't think I'd use a normal baby wipe since most of them seem to contain lotions and stuff.

only one thing about these wipes has me a little confused:
• No alcohol, fragrance, or other harmful chemicals that may kill good bacteria
• Pleasant Apple scent

how are they frag. free if they have the Pleasant Apple scent??

here is something i have used in the past in case you decide to give something else a try:

like these too because they're very portable.

I thought about using those, but they have all of these warnings about do not ingest on them. I know she won't be eating them (duh) but if it has to be all over the package to not ingest them, I have to wonder if it's good to use on something that she is sucking on.

Oh and no fragarance, I took that to mean that there wasn't an artificial one, but that the apple scent was part of the usp/food grade ingredients. I could be wrong. I guess we shall see when they arrive in the mail!

i guess i dont understand the apple scent and fragrence free reference.
i also dont understand how it distinquishes between good and bad bacteria? pretty intelligent wipe!
im not trying to be snarky, but i think washing with water and a cloth you carry in your bag would be the best thing to do. as far as a nukki, if you are using one while on the move, just get one of those things that you clip on the baby's clothes, kwim? we dont use one on the move but i do have one in the carseat...he plays with it more than anything but i have it cliped to his carseat thing so it doesnt end up on the floor of the car.

madela makes accessory wipes... they are a little pricey, but i keep some in my bag and only use them when i really need them. i think they're worth it.
