I am here on behalf of some friends of mine that will be relocating to white city, kansas next week. They are currently in california but need a midwife that will accept a late pregnancy. Baby is due 5/30/07. Mama is very young and first child. She is very distraught over the thought of having to do a hospital birth. They were living with his mother and MIL was also Mama's midwife. But MIL has kicked them out of the house. They are moving to White City, Kansas due to the fact that they have no where else to go and that is where Mama's family lives.<br><br>
Mama really wants to birth at home. If anyone Knows of a midwife in this area please share the info so that I can pass it on to her. Thank You<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/gloomy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Gloomy">:

What a horrible situation! I'm sorry, I don't know of any homebirth midwives in that area, but White City would probably be close enough for them to go to the <a href="http://www.topekabirthcenter.com/" target="_blank">Birth & Women's Center</a> in Topeka (maybe a 1 or 1 1/2 hour drive?). It's a freestanding birth center and the next best thing to a homebirth--I'm having my second child there anytime now.
