I need to find a pediatric dentist asap. I live in drexel hill and would like to find someone pretty close by (within a 20 minute drive). Can anybody recommend one? Also telling me why...
My ds is getting white spots on his front teeth and I want to stop any decay before it actually happens. I am not sure what routes there are to take as it is, but I do know I don't want someone telling me to stop night nursing.

I take ds to Dr Robin Harshaw (senior, his son joined the practice) in Bryn Mawr. He was respectful of my no fluoride opinions, though didn't necessarily agree with them. Doesn't use amalgam (mercury) fillings like the guy I tried before him wanted to use on ds. Nice guy who put my ds at ease. The building his office is in had a fire so there was some smoke damage and he was seeing patients in other offices. I don't know if he is back in his usual office yet (we went last in the spring).

We just took J to a practice in the city. Kids Smiles Inc.

I thought Dr. Chou was really fantastic. She really put effort into making the visit (one pull and three cavaties) as trauma-free as possible for my 19 m/o (who has an enamel prob) As an AP mama I can't tell you how much I appreciate that in any med provider.

Also, J was never added to our dental insurance (don't get me started - I could wring M's neck) and they made every effort to make the appointments affordable.

http://www.kidssmiles.org/

* Oh, and if anyone tells you to stop night nursing - ignore them!
