My SIL just had a baby and is uncomfortable with the dr they originally chose for baby. I thought I'd ask here for recommendations for a good Ped whom she can get REAL answers from (not scare tactics) and who is knowledgeable on breastfeeding and things AP.

TIA!

The nurse at Generations Women's Health Clinic has recommended Northern Lights Pediatrics. They have an office in Roseville and Hugo. Maybe elsewhere. No names of particular peds.

I have not seen them yet so I cannot comment directly, but I plan to check them out.

We've been at Northern Lights Pediatrics in Shoreview (just north of Roseville) for about 2 years now. We love them! The also have offices in White Bear Lake and one that just opened or will open soon in Hugo.

My son (17 months) has only been seen at Northern Lights (due to a Generations rec too). They took a long time to speak with me when I was looking for a doctor. They didn't flinch when I wanted a slower vac schedule. They are supportive of breastfeeding (though probably because they choose it and not for other political reasons, they offer formula samples) and do not challenge co-sleeping. The practice is basically female, but my very favorite doctor is the lone male- Dr. Marquart (spelling is not right). He was incredibly postive about our choice not to circ. He brought it up, not us, and said he was happy we choose not to. He is really a great guy- gentle with the babies and patient. He takes his time to talk to you. I really like this practice.
