I am just beginning my search for a Pediatrician. My peanut is due in late July...

I don't have a preference for male or female, but I do want a really cool and open minded doc...who has a lovely "bedside" manner...who is open to having conversations with me about the pros/con of vaccinating, who is open to AP...basically a great person.

I am willing to go to Seattle or Tacoma and all points in between...Thanks in advance for all your help!

We see a nice naturopath up in Everett so that's probably way too far for you, but there is something called the "Natural Choice Directory of Puget Sound" that is free at natural food stores around Washington. I got mine at Central Market in Mill Creek. It's kind of like a phone book for natural family living services, so you could probably find a good dentist and a doctor in there. Good luck finding somebody nice!

I would just interview as many as you can--the good ones let you meet them for 10 min for free, stay away from the ones who charge! I had to interview quite a few before I found a good doctor for my daughter!

Dr. David Springer at Wallingford Pediatrics is great. He's located in Wallingford. He is an MD but he also practices homeopathy and he is fine with delaying vaccines. His number is 206-632-0542

Dr. Kim Kelly is also great. She's a naturopath and I think a nurse as well.
She also has a family practice so if you'd like, you can see her as well.

Good luck.

Two thumbs waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up for Michelle Hayes in Tacoma. Her practise is called Fir Creek Pediatrics. She's a nurse practitioner and so open minded. She really cares about her patients. You can get in to see her very quickly and always the same day if it's an emergency. She also does Saturday appointments if you need them.
Peaches (the other np who works there) is a mama of two youngins so she's very in touch with having kiddies.
They're open to no vax, co-sleeping, CD, everything.
