Hi Ladies!
I'm not a babywearer, but now I'm thinking about trying out a sling.
My DD didn't like being held close as an infant, but now that she just turned one, she's a little snuggle bug and perfectly happy being held and carried. I am loving it!

I have been thinking that a sling might be nice to have so that I can do a few chores and keep her with me.
Any suggestions on an inexpensive or reasonably priced sling that is easy to use and can hold a one-year-old? (DD is only 16.6 lbs currently.)
I appreciate any suggestions and would prefer to buy from a WAHM... maybe even select my own fabric... w/o paying through the nose.

You need a Hotsling with leg padding! I still use mine every day with my 25 lb 20 month old.

Check out www.thebabywearer.com a lot of WAHM slings! I pouch like www.hotslings.com or hybrid like www.wisewomansling.com might be the way to go. You could also go with a basic ring sling like www.taylormadetreasures.com or www.tentoes.com

I just got my first sling, I got a Hot sling also. I didn't get leg padding though, she is only 6 months old and not in the sling all the time. she already loves it and so do I!

I did order a HotSling and can't wait for it to arrive... it'll take about two weeks. I did order one with leg padding since DD is a year old now... and only growing...
