I am going to start homeschooling my 5 yo in the next month or so.<br><br>
I'd like a list of your favorite books about homeschooling in general. I have only read a few from the library so far. I'd also like to purchase a good book that has lots of ideas in it.<br><br>
Thanks!

I like "What Your Kindergartener Needs to Know"<br>
We have the whole series (K-6), and Amber loves them. She uses them to "play school" with Emily. Ian can't stand them, though, unless *I* read the stuff in it out loud, so we did that for a while.<br><br>
If you want books ABOUT homeschooling, try Teach Your Own, or anything else by John Holt. I also read Grace Llewellyn's book "How to Quit School and Get a Real Life & Education" - it's geared for teens, but it really opened my horizons as far as my "homeschooling mindset" went.
