I'm not a regular here but I'm hoping you ladies can help...

I'm pregnant with my second (due 9-22-10) and I'm considering a homebirth. My daughter, born 2-7-09, was born at the ABC in Providence Southfield. I've done plenty of internet research, but I'm wondering if anyone can give me any personal reccomendations for a MW. Thanks!

I had both my dd's with Bridgett Ciuppka. My first was born at The Birth Place birth center in Taylor but I believe the birth center is no longer open . I believe that Bridgett is still doing homebirths. My second daughter was born at home with Bridgett. I love Bridgett and had two great births with her. For my second birth she was working with Linda Honey. Linda missed my birth by about two minutes (it was fast and Bridgett was there so it was okay ) But she was there postpartum and was great. I'm not sure her travel range though.

There are a lot of midwives in the area. Good luck.

I love Stacia Proefrock. She has an office in Ann Arbor but she does home visits in the latter part of your pregnancy. I've worked with her for a couple years and just can not say enough good things about her.
