Hey!<br>
We are moving to the area and I have two homeschooling middle schoolers, grades 6 and 8. Can anyone share my choices up there as far as charter schools, independent studies or do I have to go it alone??? :LOL<br>
I just don't know where to start and it's hard when you don't know the area and all the cool little charter schools like the one we belong to now! So I am hoping the Mothering underground can support me in finding a place for my kidlets and I to keep doing what we are doing and not get hassled.<br>

Can't help you with the charter schools (though there's not very many because Portland Public Schools has been resistant to approving many and the state has only just started granting charters). It's not a charter, but I've heard great things about Metropolitan Learning Center run by PPS (K-12). It's very difficult to get in however.<br><br>

Hey! I just found all your wonderful, helpful posts over in the Tribal area with misslora who is also moving to PDX. I have been perusing the housing for the great links and already bookmarked the links you provided for homeschooling!!! It looks great, I am so excited!<br>

I am pretty sure I have this job I am going to interview for on the 24th. It is at the Adventist Hospital, I believe it is located on Stark street. Can you tell me about rental houses near there? We really can't afford much more than 1000 a mo. for a 3 bedroom. I have seen houses for less in Tualitin etc. But it would be nice to be close to work.<br>
