Looking for Mamas and toddlers in North Vancouver...
We've just moved to North Van (moved back to Canada from the States! YAY!!) and are looking for new friends.
My son Ben is nearly 2 (born 4/26/04). He enjoys playgrounds, beaches, swinging, trucks, cookies.....
I love to sew and knit, bake, hike, ski, bicycle....
Are there any playgroups that we could join, or other mamas and two-ish kiddies who would like to get together?

I also meant to say - we have a knitting group that gets together every....well it used to be Wednesday night. It just recently changed to Thursday night, and now it is back up in the air.

The best thing to do is to also check out our knitting thread - Vancouver knitters spring has sprung!
Erin - there are some North shore mamas on the Vancouver thread. As well as from all over the lower mainland. We are having a mamas only get together somewhere on the North shore, I believe, on Sat. Apr. 8th. I am hoping someone will post where that is happening again, as the time gets closer

As I mentioned on the Vancouver thread, I'm from the North Shore - Lynn Valley. My daughter is 9 months old, and we're also w/o a car most of the time. If you're close, maybe we can get together...she likes playgrounds and beaches too, though the cookies are mashed these days. She's not 2-ish, but hey....

I'm also in North Van...Lynnmour/Seymour area, just east of the 2nd Narrows. DD is almost 3, and ds2 is 8 months. We're housebound for a day or two, at least, though. DS2 is running a fever and isn't feeling at all well.

i dont live in north van.. but my mom does and we spend lots of time here. im in lynn valley now visiting her and we are thinking of moving back here in the next few months

It sounds like the rest of you are East of me, so maybe we could meet somewhere over in that direction.
The weather is still pretty variable, but maybe we could plan something outdoors and run inside if it starts to get too rainy.
We're pretty much free, except Mondays.

our housing situation is bad in east van and my mom has offered her nice basement suite to us for now, so im hioping to meet up with some of you! any plans for a get together? we are in lynn valley
