Hello,
I am a 29yr old mom of two. I just recently gave birth to my second child and through Viacord found out that I have Hep C from a blood transfusion I received as a child getting open heart surgery to save my life. Unfortunatley since we were not aware I had this ,my precious baby boy is now infected. I am looking for other moms with hep c or that have children with Hep C as a source of support. My 3 yr old has tested negative and my husband is also negative. I am going for a liver biopsy on wednesday to see how much damage this virus has caused in the past 23 years! I am terrified since I have had it so long with out knowing ,that I am going to get bad news! I want to be here to raise my children and I am going to have a lot of decisions to make including medicine, more children or not, and how to deal with raising my two wonderful boys while working part time and also being on medicine that is highly toxic with severe side effects to that of chemo.
Thanks for listening

I don't have hep C, but I've had an ongoing heart problem, and my worst fear is not being around to watch my kids grow into the wonderful adults I know they will be. My cardiologist says that I will be just fine and will one day be a cranky old lady, but I know how you feel. It is scary to have a chronic condition.

Good luck with your biopsy. I wish you the best and will be thinking of you.

Hugs, mama!
I have a friend with Hep C and he has also had it a long time and did not know until recently. He is doing natural treatments from the Hoxsey Clinic (Biomedical Center) with great results. They are US dr's but not allowed to practice in the US (they cure cancer as well, I did hoxsey treatment for some leg tumors a few years back). The main goal, unlike Chemo, is to get your immune system in tip top shape. Let me go find my papers with the phone number and info and brb.

Hello I am back to update you and it is not good. I had my biopsy and I have cirrohsis (sp?) I am so terrified and angry and just a mess. I have to start treatment but I am waiting till Jan since i am breastfeeding I want to at least make 6 months! I am so scared! Even if I clear the virus I may need a new liver! All this from bad blood from a blood transfusion to correct a heart problem i was born with! I thought I was through the worst parts of my life and the best just started and all I can think about is I am going to die and my kids are so young they wont even remember me. Please keep praying something good needs to happen I am losing hope.
My son gets retested at 12 months and I need him to beat this thing! I love him soooooooo much! The last thing I want is for him to end up where I am now at such a young age. My life just started! I cant let this disease take it away - I am not ready to go yet!!
