my dr is recommending an infant multi for my baby. i eat primarily vegan and i and feeding her a raw organic diet. since her diet is very limited and right now i can only get her to eat avocados and a little banana, her dr would like her to start on a multi. i still breastfeed. my dd recently had a blood test and it showed her iron was low which is when the dr brought up the vitamin idea. is this necessary? if you think so, do you have any brands to recommend? i found one from rainbow light but it has fructose in it which we avoid along with other type sweetners in our diet. any help would be great!

Our doc said the vitamin was not necessary, only the iron. When I said I didn't want that either, he handed me a list of iron rich foods to try. My son's iron is only borderline low, though. Also, many of the foods would be difficult for an infant to eat raw.
Good Luck!
