My daughter is so long. She's going to be a tall one, that's for sure. She's 28.3 inches (72 cm) but just 8.7 kilos (19 lbs!). Every single ounce she puts on seems to add height but no cute little baby rolls. She can still wear six-month clothes, only the pants go down to her knees (we EC so there's no diaper bulge either).

She also finds it very hard to crawl as she falls over often thanks to long legs and arms, poor little thing (though, she can crawl).

She's in the 95% for height and 75-90th percentile for weight, but only the 25-50th percentile for weight for length.

Anyone else mom to a long baby?

How old is your little one?

My dd is long as well. I haven't weighed/measured her in a while but around 6 months old (she's almost 8 months old now) she was only 16 pounds (weighed 10 6.5 at birth) and was around 31 inches long! She's way longer now I'm sure (she recently got a teeny bit of chub on her cheeks and thighs but it's gone now and I can't fit her into some of her clothes anymore).

Yep. DD is 6 months old, and 31 inches long. She "only" weighs 18 pounds. We have clothing issues because of this. It seems like by 12 months, all the clothes switch to mini-adult clothes (jeans, dresses, etc) more appropriate for a walker. Developmentally, DD is very much a 6 month old and creepers and onesies are what works best. But I'm having a hard time finding items that fit well. Any suggestions?

My DD is also almost 8 months old. PapayaVagina, that is one long baby

Your babies make my little girl look positively short.

Herausgeber- no suggestions. We EC so the little pants and shirts are most convenient for us. Creepers and onesies have been out of the question for some time. However, I do find that Babystyle clothes have been fitting DD very well. They have a lot of different styles, lots of soft cotton stretchy things as well. However, they are expensive (for our budget).

I've got a long baby too! DS is 6 months old, and weighs 21 pounds, and he is 29.5 inches long. So, even though he is techincally a very heavy baby, he has no rolls at all. It's hysterical to see him naked. He looks like a little boy who has just been shrunken down. Not much is babyish about him.

As for clothes, he's in 12-18 month size, and since it's summer here I generally have him in shorts and t-shirts. Things are often a little loose at the waist, but if I do the 6-12 month stuff it looks like he's wearing crop tops and hotpants!

I've got a long and thin ectomorph too! My babe is about 29 inches long and 16.5 lbs at 9 months+. It can be hard to find clothes, I agree! I have been really lucky with Cotton Caboodle clothes -- there is an outlet here in Seattle where everything is $10 or less (and super cute to boot!). Any other Seattle mamas out there with long ones?

My 4 week old was 23 1/2 inches at birth! And 11 pounds. I've got her in a 6 month outfit today and it fits her...scary!

My two year old (just turned 2 on monday) is 38 1/2 inches tall and 31 pounds.

Mama is 6'1'' and papa is 6'2''...
