Ok I am desperate so I am going to ask you all for info.
Any one know what could be wrong?
I have had diareah or very loose stools for 3 months now. I have tried other vitamins and with the Iron you would think that I would not have the problem. I have to go 2 or 3 times a day, most of the time it's not to long after I eat and it comes on all of a sudden to were I have to hurry to a bathroom.
I forgot to ask my OB about it a few months ago but did ask him at my last apt. a few weeks ago but I was having that glucose test done and so they were trying to get me out of there quick so I could go get my blood drawn.
All the OB said is "I will have to think about that one and get back to you"

I started out going to a M/W that I loved but he wanted me to go see the Doc. that he works with at least one time because of them considering me a high risk. I thought I was going to just go to him one time so I could just meet him but now they are scheduling every apt with him. I think I am going to cancel my next apt and make a new one back with the M/W that I loved.
Thanks for any help. Also I am a few days away from being 30 weeks if that helps at all.
Here are a few things that come to mind:

1. Upping your supplemental calcium intake, as it tends to constipate as much as or more than iron does.

2. If you are not lactose intolerant or dairy sensitive, then upping the amount of cheese you eat, as it tends to stop things up rather effectively.

3. Starchy bananas (bananas more on the green side of yellow, rather than the brown side of yellow) are also known to help mitigate diarrhea -- but they HAVE to be greenish. Otherwise they'll do you no good and, in fact, may have the opposite effect.

4. You may want to look into food sensitivites or intolerances, since that can definitely have an effect on one's digestive system if present and unnoticed.

5. In addition, because you mention that it comes on suddenly, I suggest looking into IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) to see whether that might be more descriptive of your situation.

Beyond that, I can't really think of much else. Good luck!

Sometimes lots of iron can actually cause loose stools and did in my case. I started out my pregnancy on the very low side iron wise and because of the twins I went into the anemic range very quickly. I was on a TON of iron and had very loose stools as a result. I also think (though this isn't confirmed by any medical professional) that the massive amounts of changes happening in your body with TWO babies in there can do a major number on your bowels. It's definately worth asking about, though.

I dunno, I pooped liquid every time I peed for my whole pregnancy basically. So I was pooping many many many many times a day. I took lots of iron pills and ate lots of beef (like five times a day - I will never look at the stuff again ) and I still had the liquid poops.

I wasn't dehydrated (I also puked a lot) and I didn't have trouble with weight gain, so I wasn't concerned, just annoyed.

You may have other issues as well, but just wanted you to know you're not the only one.

I think that it just may be the pregnancy of two. I am only taking the iron thats in my Prenatal vit. and if I forget to take my Vit. It is even more loose so I do know the vit. is helping a bit. I am going to look up the IBS.
Thanks for the coments and I am glad to here that it's not just me or something wrong with the babies.
Nah, some women just have loose stools throughout the entire pregnancy -- even if they're only carrying one! Quite the opposite of the stereotypical constipation. The urgency you describe is the only thing that seemed a little off, but still, that just could be a pregnancy thing for you for this pregnancy, you know?

Take care!
