Looks like I'm having a c/sec... tomorrow afternoon or Friday. I've got bp problems, racing pulse, dizzy spells, reduced platelets, and terrible sleep apnea. They are worried about HELP syndrome. I am so so bummed... it's so hard to accept I am at risk and let go of my plans. Now dh is out getting things for a hospital bag as I am stuck in bed.
Wish me luck ladies...

I'm so sorry Mama! Be gentle with yourself. I was wondering who would be the first in our DDC to meet their babe, and though i know it's far from the way you wanted to meet, that little lady in there has her own plan i guess. Wishing you all the luck in the world and sending lots of for as peaceful, healthful a birthing as possible.

Bless you!!

I totally sympathize as the same type of thing happened to me with my first birth...risked out of my hb because of pre-eclampsia. I hope yours is not too serious a case!!!

It did help me mentally so much that I knew the change in birth plans was just plain bad luck, nothing I could do to prevent it (the pre-e) and very necessary. I hope you can find some peace in that mama!

We are thinking about you so much these next couple of days and we all look forward to hearing from you about how it all went and your beautiful baby!!

I'm so sorry. I hope the surgery and recovery go very well. I'm dealing with risking out of home birth too, it is a painful, emotional processing time. I hope you are able to find peace, and we're here to talk.

Hi Mama,

I'm so sorry to hear about your homebirth. I hope the joy of holding your little one in your arms overcomes the disappointment you must be feeling right now. Just remember though, the goal is healthy mama/healthy baby and you're achieving that goal.

I wish you all the best and can't wait to see pix of you and your little one. Best of luck! I know you'll be in all our thoughts!!!

I'm sorry things are going the way that you had hoped. I am praying for a safe delivery and that the joys of meeting your healthy baby girl help to overshadow any disappointment about the change in plans. Be sure to be gentle with yourself.

Oh, I am sorry to hear that you won't get your homebirth. I know that can be heartbreaking. I agree with the others to be gentle on yourself and try embrace this new way that you get to meet your baby. She/he is going to love you regardless. Many good thought going your way and can't wait to see photos of (our first, second?) baby of the DDC.
