I never look at Lost until last nite. All I knew is that people got starnded on a island and now it appears they are still lost but have found a city on the island. Please updated me on how this happen. If you can. Thanks.

wow. That's a difficult one to sum up. It's been on for 2 1/2 seasons, and its the type of story that doesn't have one specific plot line (ie Jack Bauer needs to save the president/This doctor needs to save this patient). Its the type of story that is built on each episode (of which there have been over 50) so to sum up....<br><br>

..................to be perfectly honest ~ I love this show. I think that it's creative and interesting and it's those things because it can't be summed up easily. I highly recommend renting the first 2 disks of Season one and giving it a try. If you still are not interseted after watching those you probably won't like it. That would be my best advice, and if you do like it and want to come back and ask more questions I'm sure loads of ppl would be more than happy to talk about it!!!<br><br>

They crashed on an island. The island is Super Secret, inaccessible, and owned by a company called Hanso. The Hanso company has a division called "Dharma" doing some sort of electromagnetic mystery research out there, and the town that the castaways found is where the researchers live. The researchers are the bad guys.<br><br>
The bug-eyed guy in the wheelchair "seems" to be the leader. But there's lots of "Seems." It's all very mysterious.

There is a monster/ security system/ smoke machine that sometimes attempts to kill people and sometimes just looks deep into their soul .... <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> There's a sonic fence that causes brain hemmorhage if people get too close. There's a big statue of a foot with only 3 toes. And at least one person who can predict the future. Oh, and there's a polar bear roaming around ... somewhere.<br><br>

So, I found Lost last season, and only watched a couple of episodes (because I felt like I never knew what was going on, but now I understand that even the writers have no clue what is going on, so it's okay!). Then, I rented the first season, so now I have enough background to kinda get it's all going.<br><br>
Definitely rent the first season if you are interested, and that will give you enough info to understand (as well as anyone else, anyway! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">) what's going on.<br><br>
As far as bug-eyed guy goes....maybe Hurley is actually controlling everything! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngtongue.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Stick Out Tongue">

Oh, I don't care how they try to explain it away. <i>Any group</i> that has medical equipment, clean water, food, etc, and sends "scouts" instead of "rescuers" to a plane crash are Bad People. I am not buying the whole, "Are the Others the good guys?" thing.
